The administration of the University of Liberia says all is set for its 88th commencement convocation exercises to be held at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

UL Associate Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Julius Nelson announced Monday over one thousand five hundred students will be graduating.

Dr. Nelson said of the number, one hundred twenty-four students will come from the post-graduate programs of the university.

According to Dr. Nelson, the post-graduate programs will cover candidates from Regional Science, Education, Law School, College of Medicine and MBA Finance.

Dean Nelson however announced the IBB Graduate School of International Studies will not produce candidates for Wednesday’s commencement convocation.

He said students at IBB were still completing their academic work and could not   be presented to the Faculty Senate for approval.

Meanwhile, the University of Liberia has named Dr. David Straz, Commencement Speaker of the UL 88th convocation ceremony.

Dr. Straz is the Ambassador at-large and Honorary Consul of Liberia in Tampa, Florida.

At the same time, the Oaths and Honors ceremony for thirteen graduating students of the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine has taken place in Monrovia.

On Tuesday, the University will also perform its Honors and Awards ceremony at the UL auditorium on Capitol Hill.
