Prez Sirleaf arrives in Ethiopia for AU summit Print E-mail

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the 14th ordinary session of the African Union.


The session will be held on February 1 and 2 at the
United Nations Conference Center.


An executive mansion release says the president will hold meetings with various leaders including Canada’s Foreign Minister and US assistant secretary of state for African affairs.


Madam Sirleaf will also be part of an Extraordinary Session of the Economic Community of West African States.


According to the release, the AU’s
new flag will be launched during the assembly.


The Continental Scientific Award Ceremony for two successful African Scientists will also be discussed.
