The National Democratic Institute has completed a one-day retreat for the Liberian Legislature.

The retreat was organized to assist lawmakers to enhance their relationship with their constituencies.

The lawmakers, during the retreat, stressed the need for more sensitization on the role of the first branch of the Liberian government.

They said the public was misunderstanding their role in society.

The Legislators also called for concerted efforts between the body and civil society organizations in the country.
