Six Human Rights groups in the country have expressed support for government’s efforts to hold past officials accountable.

They however, said government should not be selective in who is being held accountable or not.

The Human Rights Groups cited the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company as an example.

They said up to now, no one at the LPRC has been held accountable though several documentations show that public funds may have been misapplied there.

The groups said while Representative Edwin Snowe has been cited to answer to charges, other members of his former management team should also be required to appear.

The human rights groups also said they are not pleased with the capacity of the Justice Ministry to prosecute corruption cases.

The human rights Groups include the Liberia Democracy Watch, Green Advocates and the Foundation for Human Rights and Democracy.

Others are the Foundation for International Dignity, the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission and the Center for Democratic Empowerment.
