President Johnson-Sirleaf meets Spanish officials Print E-mail

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has stressed the need for Liberia to develop strong partnerships for the future.
 

President Sirleaf spoke during a meeting with senior officials of the Spanish government including Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapaterro.
 

She also stressed the need to foster bilateral ties between Spain and Liberia that would lead to what she called win-win cooperation.
 

President Sirleaf said Liberia has a lot of investment opportunities, which Spain could explore.
 

For his part, Prime Minister Zapaterro praised the Liberian leader for the good work done thus far.
 

Prime Minister Zapaterro pledged his government’s support towards strengthening bilateral ties between both countries.
 

While in Spain, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf also took part in the closing of the Spain-Africa conference on women held in the capital, Madrid.
 

The conference, held under the theme ‘Women for a better world’, brought together four hundred women from Africa and Spain.
