Maryland appoints Chairman of Steering Committee

Local authorities in Maryland County have appointed Mr. Mike Jurry, Chairman of the Steering Committee for the visit of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

Mr. Jurry works for CARITAS, a relief arm of the Catholic Church as Director for the Cape Palmas Diocese.

He was appointed Thursday following the decline of Mr. Sam Seidu, the revenue agent in the county.

Mr. Jurry has his first general meeting with committee heads and asked them to submit their plans and budget before next Friday.
