A new survey shows that malaria is found everywhere in Liberia, and it remains one of the main killer diseases in the country.

The Malaria Indicator Survey conducted two years ago was launched in Monrovia Friday on the campus of the University of Liberia.

According to the survey, Children under five years of age and pregnant women are most vulnerable.

The head of malaria control Program in Liberia Dr. Joel Jones called for the usage of bed nets as a means of reducing the rate of infection.

Dr. Jones also called for international support to conduct another survey for 2007 that would represent current baseline information on malaria.

The National Malaria Control Program conducted the survey with technical support from the World Health Organization and funding from the global fund.
