The United Methodist Church in Liberia has identified one of its members as the source of the on-going conflict in the Church.

The Legal Counsel of the Church alleged that representative Samuel Bondo is the man behind the confusion.

Cllr. Joseph Nagbe said representative Bondo is using his position in government to incite people against the church.

He further alleged Mr. Bondo has been behind all the confusion over putting one of the Weala District Methodist churches under the Monrovia District.

Cllr. Nagbe said the Church would notify the House of Representatives about the action of Mr. Bondo.

When contacted Representative Bondo denied the allegation and said the confusion started since 2003 when he was not a government official.

Representative Bondo said he has been speaking on the transfer issue because it was done unilaterally.
