The newly established Center for Civil Military Relations says it is creating a platform for effective civil-military partnership in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of the center told Star Radio the institution would seek to promote and protect civil-military rights in accordance with international standards.

Mr. Martin Scott said the group would network with other organizations with broad and similar objectives to support national development efforts.

He said in order to realize this objective; the center would launch a community-to-community outreach to educate residents on the way forward.

According to Mr. Scott, the initiative is being held in collaboration with the Office of Civil Affairs of the UN mission in Liberia.

Activities of the center are being conducted in partnership with the Koffi Annan Center for Conflict Transformation at the   University of Liberia
