The World Bank has launched a campaign to solicit project proposals for effective community development in Liberia.

The Infrastructure Cluster Leader of the World Bank in the country told Star Radio quick impact projects with high visibility would be encouraged.

Mr. Paul Kriss said project proposals submitted should have the capacity to employ several Liberians.

According to the World Bank official, no individual project proposals would be accepted, unless those from NGOs, government and UN agencies.

Mr. Kriss said deadline for submission of applications is March 20, 2007.

He said the exercise is intended to show the World Bank’s sensitivity to community development in post-conflict Liberia.
