The National Child Rights Observatory Group NACROG says its attention has been drawn to the US State Department latest report.

The National Coordinator of NACROG said the portion of the report that highlights the prevalence of Child trafficking in Liberia should be of major concern.

Mr. Jerolimek Piah however, said the report fell short of identifying perpetrators.

Mr. Piah said once perpetrators are not clearly identified, the purpose of discouraging child trafficking would be undermined.

He called on government to conduct what he called an internal investigation as a way of verifying some of these international reports.

Mr. Piah also urged government to provide basic services to children including education and health.
