A delegation from the North Carolina Central University is in the country to establish an institute for democracy and governance.

The delegation would lay the foundation for a Multi Media Center that will provide a video conferencing capacity.

The head of the delegation told Star Radio, the center would enable the UL make an impact regionally and worldwide.

Dr. Emmanuel Oritsejafor said two sites have been established at the UL for the Multi Media Center.

He said his delegation would also work on the establishment of a journal that would focus on democracy and hold a faculty development training.

Dr. Oritsejafor said the visit is the second leg of activity under the USAID funded Democracy and Governance program.
