The Dana McLean Greeley Memorial Award has been presented to the Women’s Desk of the Inter-religious Council of Liberia.

The Liberian women group was initially named winner of the award last year at the Kyoto International Conference during the Eighth World Assembly of the Religions for Peace in Japan.

The Prize is awarded to groups that have worked to fulfill Reverend Greeley’s dream of a peaceful, tolerant and just world through multi-religious dialogue.

The Regional Director of the World Conference presented the glass-plated palm size award to the Women’s Desk.

Reverend William Tolbert, III lauded the contribution of the religious women.

Reverend Tolbert also presented a check for three thousand U.S. dollars to the women to implement a local project.
