Government has granted a hundred percent waiver on storage charges at the Freeport of Monrovia.
 

 

 

The waiver will cover personal effects, humanitarian and medical items currently at the Freeport.
     

The decision to waive storage charges was reached at a meeting on   between the president and the Management and Board of Directors of the National Port Authority.
 

An Executive Mansion release says institutions or individuals applying for waiver must clear all finance and other customs taxes to qualify.
 

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf expressed the hope that the decision would alleviate the plight of ordinary citizens, returnees and institutions.
