The Liberian Senate and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have agreed to coordinate efforts in the expenditure of future Community Development funds.

The decision was reached on Thursday at a meeting with Internal Affairs Minister Ambulai Johnson at the Unity Conference Center in Virginia.

During the meeting, the Senators expressed dissatisfaction over their exclusion in the use of the community development funds in the recast budget.

The Senators argued that the Ministry should have included the Legislative Caucuses of the fifteen counties in identifying development projects.

Minister Johnson admitted some problems in the implementation of the Community Development projects and hoped there would not be a recurrence in future.
