The Minister of Post and Telecommunications has urged postal inspectors to desist from fraudulent practices in the handling of mail.

Minister Jackson Doe challenged the postal inspectors to confront even government officials that attempt to undermine the postal system.

He said all partnerships with criminals to dupe the public should be discouraged.

Minister Doe spoke on Thursday at a two-day postal inspector in-service workshop organized by the Bureau of training and manpower development.

He added that postal inspectors are not people who evade the cost associated with services provided or look for loopholes to exploit the postal system.

Minister Doe said the workshop would enhance the capacity postal inspectors to ensure the growth and viability of the postal sector.
