Acting Agriculture Minister discusses National food security

Acting Agriculture Minister Lwopu Kandakai says the process of seed rice multiplication is crucial to the National Food Security Program.
She said the Ministry would establish seed multiplication projects around the country to enable farmers have enough to eat, sell and preserve for the next farming season.
Madam Kandakai spoke Wednesday during a visit to Garyemah Town in Bomi County where a seed multiplication project is ongoing.
According to an Agriculture Ministry release, more than forty farmers and technicians from several other towns would be recruited in the project.
The release said the project is part of the Ministry’s community empowerment program.
