UNDP donates to the Agriculture ministry

The United Nations Development Program has donated a vehicle and other equipment to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The donation is in support of the Ministry’s Human Security Fund Project-financed by the Government of Japan through the UN Trust Fund for Human Security.

UNDP Country Director Steve Ursino presented the items and said UN agencies would continue to support government in its strive to eradicate poverty.

Acting Agriculture Minister Lwopu Kandakai thanked UNDP for the support and said the project will help empowered rural communities.

The Human Security Fund Project was signed in November 2006 in Ganta Nimba County.
