The Nigerian Government has made good a promise of 12 vehicles to the Liberia national Police.

Nigeria also provided riot equipment and other accessories for use by 300 officers of the police support Unit, PSU.

The PSU officers were trained in Nigeria to control riots and other conflict situations.

The Nigerian donation followed another donation of 11 vehicles from the Netherlands on Thursday.

The gifts are meant to enable the police respond to crimes on time.

The donations sparked a big celebration at the police headquarters on Friday.

Police Inspector General Munah Sieh praised Nigeria for the donation.

Col. Sieh said the police would use the vehicles in their effort to combat crimes.
