The West African Examinations Council has cancelled the twelfth grade WAEC exams for the Monrovia and Harbel areas.

The head of National Office of WAEC Liberia, Eli Lumei, said the cancellation is due to mal-practice in the administration.

Mr. Lumei said the test was cancelled on the order of the Education Ministry.

He told Star Radio National security institutions would conduct investigation into the conduct of the exams in the two cities.

He said a new schedule for the test would be announced at the close of the investigation.

He said ninth and sixth grade exams would not begin next week.
