Reports coming from Grand Gedeh County say strange leaflets are being circulated in the capital, Zwedru.
According to our correspondent, the leaflets warn residents to stay indoors by twelve mid-night and threatened to kill anyone found out at that time.
Our correspondent also said the leaflets are signed by a group calling itself eleven brothers claiming to be from Harbel, Margibi County.
Several residents have gone to seek Police interventions, claiming unknown men visited their homes last night.
Our correspondent said security is on high alert in the southeastern city to find the source of the information.

Stop the Mess!! We are Tire!!! Written by afar, on 2007-05-23 13:44:15 Every Liberian is tired of war. We have learnt that war does not, and will not provide any solution to our problems. Any so-called citizen of Liberia who does not address issues logically through dialogue, but through violence and intimidation of the people, is not a true Liberia. A true Liberian learns from his past. He does not repeat the danger of his past. A true Liberian focuses on the development of a modern Liberia, where every citizen shall be treated with respect, and issue are delt with through reasonable dialogue. A true Liberian will do everything possible to expose betrayers of the development of our beloved Liberia. My fellow Liberians in Grand Gedeh, do not fear those who called themselves eleven brother. Be wise to expose them and stop them. Note: By calling themselves eleven brothers in such action reveals that they are not true Liberians. Eleven brothers, whatever your problems are please try to bring it to the table of dialogue. We are tire of violence, threats and war. Stop the mess - war and begin the best - dialogue. |

Written by bille, on 2007-05-22 15:52:39 There's no room in Liberia for this kind of terrorist tactic. Those criminals responsible for the leaflets should be pursued and drastically dealt with in accordance with the laws of the country. |
Written by James Quiah Gbalay, on 2007-05-22 15:08:55 Eleven brothers please go back to your place of origin,do not disturb the grand gedehian who are trying to recover from the civil war, which concentrated on them so severly. |
