Liberia-Sierra Leone border re-opens Print E-mail

The Liberia-Sierra Leone border has been finally re-opened with both countries assuring each other of genuine security protection.


Deputy Justice Minister Joseph Jallah and his Sierra Leonean Counterpart said the re-opening marks what they called a new beginning in the history of the two countries.
 

Two officials said Conditions that led to the closure of the Mano River Bridge no longer exist.
 

Our Correspondent said a proxy of Sierra Leone Internal Affairs Minister and Minister Joseph Jallah cut the ribbon marking the official re-opening of the border.
 

Thousands of citizens from the two countries attended the border re-opening ceremony.
