Three members of the dissolved aggrieved workers committee of Firestone have termed as dubious the role of the Labor Ministry in the FAWUL crisis.

The three FAWUL members are Mrs. Ida Collins, Messrs Rancy Barku and Jerry Mulbah.

They alleged that the Labor Ministry organized twenty-two of them to strategize on ways of unseating the Jean Stewart leadership.

The three former aggrieved workers said the ministry arranged several meetings in different locations attended by officials of the ministry.

According to them, Assistant Minister Cole Bangalu at one of the meetings instructed them to organize all shop Stewarts to form a strong team for the FAWUL elections in July this year.

They further alleged that the Labor Ministry hired the services of a lawyer in their case against the General Agriculture Workers Union, GAAWUL.

Meanwhile, the three FAWUL members say they have withdrawn their signatures from the case at the civil law court.

When contacted, Assistant Labor Minister for Trade Union Affairs, Cole Bangalu termed the allegations as black lie.
