Argument into the state’s bill of information filed against Gyude Bryant has again been postponed.

The argument was re-scheduled for Tuesday to give the defense time to study an amended brief state lawyers served on them Monday.

The defense team earlier refused to accept the amended brief on grounds that it was not served 24 hours before the proceeding.

Chief Justice Johnnie Lewis expressed dismay over the repeated postponement of the argument.

Justice Lewis said the Supreme Court would not tolerate unnecessary delays of cases by lawyers.

He urged both sides to go prepared Tuesday morning for the argument.

The state filed the Bill of Information to the Supreme Court following Bryant’s motion for the Civil Law Court to quash his indictment.

The state observed the motion is intended for the Lower Court to review the decision of the Supreme Court, which had ruled that Bryant be tried.
