Global Giving is an on-line marketplace which allows people to donate to international projects that appeal to their interests and STAR radio is now a Global Giving project! This means that our American supporters may now make tax-deductible donations to STAR.
Humanity United gives STAR radio generous grant
One of our top goals this year at STAR radio is to
broaden our base of support to include new types of donor and partners from
different countries. This was achieved
this year when Global Giving (www.globalgiving.com)
agreed to our request to include STAR Radio on its internet platform which
allows individuals to fund international
projects of interest, and for Americans to donate on a tax-free basis. Since we posted a project description on
Global Giving four months ago, STAR Radio has earned a total of $3,000 donated
by a dozen individuals. We learned recently that Humanity United, a
grant-making organization based in California, will donate $130,000 to STAR
Radio in Liberia through the Global Giving site. Many
thanks to Global Giving and Humanity United for their generous support to STAR
radio!
With an average of 600 visitors daily and with 1400 registered members, a figure which is growing rapidly, advertising on STAR radio website gives your company a huge visibility among both Liberian and international customers.

All advertisements sent for review include two parts - the Advertiser's Information and the full body of the proposed ad.
Advertisers should use STAR radio Advertisement Form, available as a separate file(as doc or pdf), to fill in the required information. They are then required to email this information to (

) for administrative review. Proposed advertisements can be formatted as Rich Text or Microsoft Word, and the ads in a GIF, JPEG or PNG format. They can be pasted into an email message or sent as an email attachment.
General requirements:
We accept GIF, JPEG, PNG, Rich Media & Third Party Served ads.
Ads on STAR radio website must follow the sizes of the templates.
Creative with a white background must have a minimum 1-pixel border to differentiate ad from editorial content.
Any sound must be user-initiated, defined as a click and not a mouseover or rollover, and clearly labeled with "Play" and "Stop" controls.
News site advertising cannot be directly competitive and/or disparaging to STAR radio.
All public policy, advocacy, political or candidate advertising must include a "Paid for by ___" label on all frames of the ad. It must be clear who placed the ad.
All advertising content must be clearly differentiated from editorial content.
STAR radio reserves the right to reject any ads that are disparaging to STAR radio or have potential for user confusion.
