World Bank President Robert Zoellick has arrived in the country at the start of a two-day visit.

Mr. Zoellick’s visit is to gain first hand report of the development challenges of post-conflict Liberia.

The World Bank President is currently holding talks with the National Legislature.

Mr. Zoellick will on Wednesday meet with President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf as well as development partners.

Mr. Zoellick will also attend a regional consultative forum, bringing together Finance Ministers of West African Countries.

The World Bank is currently funding Liberia’s emergency road construction project and the visit will determine the level of further assistance the global financial institution would render Liberia.
