Local NGO dismisses fake check claims |

A local NGO Peace-Liberia has reacted to report that one of its staff issued a fake check to a Lebanese businessman in Gbarnga, Bong County.
The Gbarnga Magisterial Court ordered the arrest of Winifred Doe for allegedly issuing a fake check to Mr. Hikmat Barbar for goods.
But a senior staff of the NGO said Mr. Barbar allegedly duped the NGO by giving outdated materials.
Madam Keren Gbeisay told Star Radio when it was established that the materials were outdated, the NGO told the bank not to cash the check.
Madam Gbeisay said all of the materials were returned to Mr. Barbar with the exception of a roll of wires which was broken apart.
She explained to Star Radio Madam Doe has gone to Gbarnga to face her accuser in open court.
