Report from the UN-backed Special Court sitting in The Hague says detained former Liberian President Charles Taylor has been rushed to hospital for treatment.

According to the report, twenty minutes into his war crimes trial Tuesday morning, Mr. Taylor complained to his lawyers that he was ill.

The former Liberian President is facing charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for the role he allegedly played in Sierra Leone’s bloody civil war.
