The people of Lofa County have petitioned President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to contest a second Presidential term.
The people of Lofa presented the petition to Madam Sirleaf in the provincial city of Voinjama.
President Sirleaf and her cabinet are in the northwestern region for a retreat and to inspect ongoing projects in the county.
Our correspondent covering the Presidency said President Sirleaf did not concur nor reject the second-term petition.
Our correspondent said President Sirleaf however, told the people of Lofa deeper things belong to women and God.
The Lofa petition brings to two a second-term request to President Sirleaf.
The people of Grand Gedeh County in early 2007 petitioned the 69-year old President Sirleaf to seek the Executive Mansion for the second time in 2011.
