A 21-year old female enumerator in the on-going census has been allegedly raped in Pullah, Maryland County in the southeast.

According to our correspondent, the girl was said to have been raped by the man who accommodated her in the town near the Duokli border.

Our correspondent said the victim admitted been sexually assaulted on Saturday night.

Details are still unfolding.

Meanwhile, the Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services has reported seventy-five percent completion in the ongoing national census.

The Director General of LISGIS told a news conference the seventy-five percent progress report come from all counties.

According to Dr. Edward Liberty, Liberians are anxious to be interviewed but he said it takes time to fully complete the process.

Dr. Liberty said a decision would be reached by Thursday whether or not the process would be extended by one or two days.

According to Dr. Liberty, any extension would be based on reports gathered from around the country.

He said at the end of the census, every professional and technical measure would be applied to test the census data.

Dr. Liberty warned individuals to desist from questioning the credibility of the process in the media.
