The two former SSS personnel arrested with a huge quantity of marijuana have filed in a criminal appearance bond.

According to our correspondent, Paul Krah and Robert Karmo on Saturday filed a Property Valuation Bond worth LD$200,000.

Our correspondent said the defendants are expected to appear in court on April 8.

At the same time, Gbarnga City Solicitor Eddie Whyne has filed a motion for justification on surety on behalf of the state.

Attorney Whyne in his motion argued that the two defendants were arrested and charged individually for drug trafficking and could not benefit from a single bond.

The Presidential Guards were arrested along a Sierra Leonean nationale Abu Kamara by the Drug Enforcement Agency in Bong County with 715.2 kilograms of marijuana.
