Security guards of the Liberia Electricity Corporation have arrested two men allegedly involved in power theft.

The two suspects Ali Shehadee and Abdullah Barry were picked up in the Central Monrovia area and are undergoing investigation.

The LEC said eight to nine percent of power generated during the month is lost to theft.

LEC cables are occasionally vandalized by criminals under the cover of darkness mainly in the Central Monrovia area.
