Casual laborers take the streets in Zwedru Print E-mail

Reports from Grand Gedeh County say over three Hundred casual laborers of the UNDP have converged on the premises of the agency.
 

Our correspondent said the casual laborers are demanding a settlement of money due them by the United Nations Development Program.
 


Each of the laborers earned between US$123 to US$125.
 


Our correspondent said the aggrieved UNDP casual laborers carried on road-side brushing in the county and worked for seven weeks without pay.
 


They vowed to continue their protest until the UNDP can settle with them.
 


UNDP local authorities in the county are currently negotiating with the laborers.
