Liberia
’s national team, Lone Star has forced the Scorpions of Gambia to a 1-1 draw at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.


The Gambians took the lead in the sixteenth minute of the first half.
 

A Lone Star substitution in the second half of the match paid off when Oliver Makor challenged the Gambian defense and scored the equalizer.
 

The match was the first leg of the 2010 World Cup and African Cup of nations qualifying rounds.
 

An estimated forty thousand people witnessed the encounter.
