The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation has donated three heavy duty trucks to the Health Ministry.
The agency’s Country Director, Fredrich Steinemann said the trucks have been used by the Swiss army but are in good working condition.
He hoped the donation would help facilitate the work of the ministry when it comes to transportation.
Receiving the donation, Health Minister Dr. Walter Gwenigale thanked the agency and said it would help transport drugs and materials to the counties.
Dr. Gwenigale informed reporters that the donation was in response to an appeal from the ministry.
The Health Minister assured that one of the trucks would be sent to Lofa County to help conclude renovation work at the Telewoyan Hospital.
The Swiss government is helping with the renovation of the Telewoyan Hospital.
