Liverpool gives to Amputees team Print E-mail

English premiership club Liverpool FC has send a certificate of congratulations to the National Amputee Team.


The certificate signed by the club’s world class stars including Fernando Torres and Steven Gerard hailed the Liberian Amputee Tem for lifting the African Cup of Nations.
 

The Managing Director of Broadway Consolidated Gary Allsoph presented the certificate to officials of the national Amputee Team on behalf Liverpool Football Club.
 

Mr.Allsoph said Liverpool was grateful to the amputees for making history for Liberia.
 

He said he and others in England love to be associated with success and the amputees have brought it to Liberia.
 

Mr.Allsoph promised he would continue to support the team even at next year Amputee World


Meanwhile, the President of the Liberia Amputee Sport Association has named the Managing Director of Broadway Consolidated as their Sports Patron and Goodwill Ambassador.
 

Mrs.Babara Ogonti said her group was giving Gary Allsoph the honor because of his support for the association.
 

Mrs.Ogonti recounting the numerous contributions made to the Amputee Sports Association said Mr.Allsoph has been the single larges donor o them.
 

She spoke after receiving a certificate from Liverpool Football Club.
Cup to be played in London.
 Liverpool also provided some practice kits to the team.
