Education Minister, NEC Chairman held hostage Print E-mail

Education Minister Joseph Korto and James Flomoyan, chairman of the National Elections Commission are being held hostage at the African Methodist University on Camp Johnson Road.


Our reporter said the two officials had gone at the university to quell a riot between the students and the administration.
 

The officials, Charles Gbollie of Star Radio who had gone to cover the event and some members of the university’s administration have been held for more than five hours.
 

The students are requesting the release of their election results.
 

The university’s administration this afternoon halted the election and called for a postponement of the exercise.
