Liberia drops in ranking Print E-mail

Liberia
has dropped three places in the  World Football Governing Body,FIFA August Ranking.



The Country has been ranked 142 in the global world rankings and ranked at the 43rd position in Africa.
 

Liberia
was ranked 139 in the July ranking but has dropped greatly.
 

Football followers are attributing the drop in the ranking to the country’s poor showing in the ongoing World and African Cup of nations Qualifiers.
 

Liberia
sits at the bottom of Group six in the qualifiers.
 

Others blamed the country’s failure to be represented at youth competitions as one of the factors.
 

In May and June Liberia was ranked 138 in FIFA global football rankings.
 

Liberia
’s highest ranking in global football was in July 2001 when the country was ranked at number 66 and 11th on the African continent.

FM frequency 104 in Monrovia and affiliated community radio stations throughout Liberia. Short wave broadcasts 9525 kHz at 7:00 to 8:00 a.m will change on November 10, 2008 to 11875 kHz.
