Black Star FC has extended her lead at the top of the Liberia Football Association premiership league.

Black Star moved three points clear at the top of the table after an impressive win on Sunday.

Last year’s league runners up dragged USA FC 2-1 at the Unification Town football stadium in Margibi County.

James Soto Roberts put Black Star ahead in the 33rd minute from a wonderful strike.

According to our correspondent in the county, USA FC drew level in the 48th minute through Sam Andrews from a well coordinated effort.

Bill Sheriff ensured Black Star received the maximum points after he scored the match winner in the 68th minute.

Black Star has pocketed 12 points from four league games and has only conceded one goal.

Earlier in the first division, Adorence FC and PYC Jubilee played to an entertaining 2-2 draw.

In Buchanan at the Doris Williams Stadium, AL Pro and Fatu FC settled to a 0-0 draw.

New Georgia Estate based Georgia FC scored an impressive 2-0 away win over International Black Star.

The game was played at the sports stadium in Ganta, Nimba County.

On last Friday at the SKD Practice Pitch, Mighty Blue Angels returned to the league and received three points without kicking the ball.

Their opponents Devereaux FC failed to show up for the game.
