The opposition Liberty Party has distanced itself from statement from one of its members that President Sirleaf should appear before the truth commission in-camera.
According to the Liberty Party, statement by Isaac Jackson was not the official position of the party as much it respects the rights of its partisans to free speech.
The Liberty Party however, said statements that could have policy implication should come from the National Chairman, the Political Leader or the Press and Public Affairs.
The party re-affirmed its support for the TRC as outlined in the CPA and will in no way be a party to any design that may delay the work of the commission.
