The U.S-based women empowerment group Women’s Campaign International, has expressed interest in building the capacity of Liberian women.

WCI’S Executive Director, Kerri Kennedy said when the capacity of women is built issues that tend to hinder their progress would be addressed.

Madam Kennedy said WIC is currently training Liberian women in agriculture, economic and social development.

She said her group was also involved in peace building initiatives, conflict transformation and decision making for women.

According to Madam Kennedy, the participation of women in decision making would help them address a range of issues that confront them.

The WCI Executive Director, who is visiting the country on an assessment mission, noted her organization has done much in the implementation of its projects.
