Two officers of the Liberia National Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency have been wounded in a grenade attack in Bakedu, Lofa County.

Our correspondent said the officers were attacked on Sunday morning in one of their colleague’s room in the Sugar Hill community.

The officers had earlier arrested one Ngfee Dolleh, a resident of Bakedu and charged him with persistent non support.

Mr. Dolleh was reportedly kept in police custody for nearly three days.

According to our correspondents the grenade explosion occurred the day after the arrest of Ngafee Dulleh by the Liberia National Police.

Particles from the grenade explosion inflicted several wounds on the head, chest and hand of the DEA officer.

Prince Dwanah is currently admitted at the Telewonyan Memorial hospital in Voinjama.

Our correspondent said two residents of Bakedu Vakuma Kamara and Alieu Sheriff are being held at the Voinjama police station for   questioning.
