Three Liberian referees left the country Wednesday to officiate in the African Under-17 championship.

The three Liberian football referees will handle the first round match of the 8th qualifying round of the championship between Gambia and Sierra Leone.

FIFA Badge Ignatius Nimely is to serve as Center Referee while Samuel Tarplain will serve as Assistant Referee number one and Joseph Kollie will be Assistant Referee number two.

The three Liberian referees will be in action this Sunday in the Gambia when that nation hosts Sierra Leone at the national stadium.

Referee Ignatius Nimely will be making his 5th appearance on the international scene since he was named a FIFA Referee.
