The House Committee on Security has ruled out any possibility of impeaching President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as recommended by former AFL soldiers.

The Chairman of the Committee said the petition by the former soldiers have no sufficient reasons to formulate an impeachment bill against the President.

Representative Saa Gbolie said a compromise has therefore been reached not to discuss the impeachment petition.

He said under the compromise, former AFL soldiers would be incorporated under the Veteran Bureau if they meet the criteria.

Representative Gbolie said the House Security Committee conducted an extensive investigation before coming up with its findings.

He said the Committee discussed with the former soldiers and held consultation with President Sirleaf.

Representative Gbolie said the report would be sent to the plenary of the House for action.
