President Sirleaf extends legislative session Print E-mail

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has extended the third regular session of the fifty-second Legislature.
 

According to an Executive Mansion release, the extension runs from the first to the twelfth of September.
 

The release said the Joint resolution was presented to the Liberian leader Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 

The Chairpersons of the House and Senate Committees on Executive presented the Joint resolution.
 

President Sirleaf commended the National Legislature for the action and said the extension would enable the lawmakers conduct the business of the Liberian people.
 

In another development, President has repeated her committed to fighting corruption.
 

She warned that any government officials caught in acts of corruption would be subject to public exposure and dealt with under the law.
