Information Minister Laurence Bropleh says there is a need for the TRC to take a break and re-organize its Thematic and Institutional Hearings.

Minister Bropleh believes the ongoing process is not in accordance with the intent of the hearings.

The Information Minister wants the TRC to enlighten its witnesses more about the thematic hearings and guide the process.

He observed people are personalizing the hearings and attempting to glorify themselves as blameless rather than explaining the root cause of the war.

Dr. Bropleh also frowned on statements from Senator Prince Johnson that his ex-commandos are on the alert to protect him amidst reported threats on his life.

The Information Minister says a strong system of law is now in place and warned that government will not allow any illegality in the security system.

Dr. Bropleh has meanwhile called on the family of slain president Samuel Doe to reconsider its decision not to reconcile with Senator Johnson.

The information Minister believes every family was hurt during the war and now is the time to forgive and foster true reconciliation in Liberia.
