The Liberia National Red Cross Society says there are thousands of
ex-combatants and war affected children yet to be fully reintegrated into their communities.

According to the president of the LNRCS, most of these ex-fighters and war affected children are females.

Madam Theresa Leigh Sherman said some of these young Liberians are engaged in unwholesome activities because they find themselves in a difficult situation.

Madam Sherman said there is a need to institute requisite programs that would accommodate these ex-fighters to make them self-reliant.
 .

The LNRCS president however said the Liberian Red Cross has trained over four hundred war affected youths in Brewerville, out side Monrovia.

She said the LNRCS would shortly establish another Child Advocacy Rehabilitation Center in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.

Madam Sherman called on partners of the Red Cross to continue their   support to the society.
