Liberia
has suffered her first defeat in the Zone III Under-16 female championship competition.


Host Benin beat Liberia by eight points margin in the first match of the competition.
 

The national under-16 team went on to their Beninior counterparts 57to 65 points in a match that was too close o call.
 

According to a player of the team, Ciana Smith the game was a neck and neck until the last quarter.
 

The Under-16 female basketball star said the game was their first international encounter and promised they would improve in their next match.
 

Liberia
will meet Nigeria on Monday in what promises o be thrilling showdown.
