A Lofa County Representative has called on the TRC to make a formal request to the UN-backed Special Court in The Hague for former President Charles Taylor to be heard.

According to Representative Eugene Fallah Kpakar, the detained former President is a key element in the country political history.

Representative Kpakar believes the TRC process would be meaningless if the hearings are not extended to The Hague for Mr. Taylor to testify.

He called on government to assist the TRC in completing its record by having Mr. Taylor appear and give his own account of the conflict.

Representative Kpakar told Star Radio he would reduce his suggestion into writing for the truth commission to see reason to get the side of Mr. Taylor.

The Lofa County Representative said Liberians are eager to hear the accounts of Mr. Taylor following the appearance of several key actors.
