Hundred of Voluntary School Teachers says they would stage a peaceful demonstration on the ground floor of the Education Ministry.

Two spokesmen of the aggrieved teachers told Star Radio they are in desperate need of their ten months compensation, promised them by the Education Ministry.

Peter Gonway and Thomas Coffey claimed numerous appeals to the ministry for their payout have remained fruitless as Education Authorities continued to promise.

The hundreds of public school teachers believed it is unfortunate that the ministry would choose to show blind eyes to the services they have rendered.

When contacted, Deputy Education Ministry, Hawa Goll Kotchi said the ministry is aware of making settlement to some voluntary teachers.

Minister Kotchi however, said there is serious credibility problem in compiling the final listings of voluntary teachers by their respective County Education Officers.
